EWA in Marrakech
On 22 and 23 September 2026, user training and the technical handover of two EWA (Emergency Water from All) units, designed to extract water from hot and dry air, was done at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Ben Guerir. This marks the first step towards the full-scale commercial use of this technology.
World Power-to-X Summit 2025
KARBOX s.r.o., in cooperation with the holding company Czechoslovak Export a.s. and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Morocco, presented a device for extracting water from dry and hot air (EWA) at the World Power-to-X Summit 2025 in Marrakech, at the invitation of the Moroccan company IRESEN (Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies), EWA was implemented on the basis of a grant program in cooperation with University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings CTU in Prague. The device was presented in operation, including the consumption of water obtained from the environment of its location.
FORBES Better Czech Republic 2026
At the FORBES´ Better Czech Republic 2026’ event in Karlovy Vary, KARBOX s.r.o., part of the CSG Group, successfully presented the EWA (Emergency Water from Air) system. The system presented has global relevance due to its ability to extract water from the surrounding air, even in locations with a very low humidity and high temperatures, where access to water becomes a serious problem.
